Your Self-Care Wheel

While working with clients to envision and improve their best self, it is necessary to understand what self-care means and evaluate where you stand by using what I have developed and call the “self-care wheel.” It supports you to understand and prioritize the essential areas in your life, how interconnected they are, the opportunities they can afford you and what steps you want to take in order to cultivate self-care practices that will support your expansion and growth.

Alongside the self-care wheel, its about incorporating visualization to create a mental image of the experience you want to embody in your life. Think about it, when you spend time actively visualizing your best self you’re creating the drive to subconsciously go after it because your mind starts to believe it as reality. And once your mind is on board its much more easier to start to take the next steps. The more time you spend envisioning and honoring your best self, the more you’ll be able to embody this version of yourself.

Visualize Your Best Self: Instructions

VISUALIZE

Close your eyes and visualize what your best self would experience in each area of the self-care wheel. If time and money were not a factor, how would you spend your ideal day? Start from the moment you wake up and explain in detail what you are doing, how you’re feeling, where you are, and who you’re with.

WRITE

Write down in detail what you visualized and notice what’s different from your current life.

ASSESS AND PLAN

What small steps of action can you take to balance out your self-care wheel between your perfect visualization and actual day? What do you need to pull back from doing, start doing or delegate?

You ultimately have to take ownership of your own well-being, but if I can help you with your journey please feel free to schedule a free consultation.
