“Before working with Marwa I was doing fitness classes regularly but not seeing the results I was hoping for. As a perimenopausal woman, I was struggling to get tone and muscle definition. Marwa developed an incredible movement plan to add onto what I was already doing, that includes two virtual sessions per week. They are super challenging but I feel really good and safe in Marwa's hands because of her in-depth knowledge and experience with women's bodies, health and fitness. She knows exactly what I need when I need it. “When I first started working with Marwa, she ignited a motivation that was very hard to find. I knew I was looking for some form of coaching to organize my thoughts and when I started working with her the approach she has fit well for me personally. Her guidance for me was through affirmations, mantras, and journaling. This was to change habits I had formed about self thought, and but also physical habits, as well as financial organization. Because her approach is so simple and gentle, with the help of her Heart Journal, I found it really easy to take these challenges and create a daily habit of checking in with myself on a physical and mental/spiritual level. Taking this closer look made it visible, and helped me to shift where necessary, to curb some of the bad habits but also to hold myself to this new rhythm and accountability to make room for the good habits to settle in. “I had a pre and post workout sessions with Marwa. Pre-session we spent some time opening up the joints and getting the muscles ready for the workout by stretching. This was really useful especially as I work out first thing in the morning. My body got loosened up. Marwa explained how to breathe through the stretches which allowed me to get more out of them as I was able to relax into the stretch. During my workout I performed better and did more, higher quality pull ups as a result. Post-workout Marwa spent some time stretching and relaxing. Essentially now working to get the body relaxed and into recovery mode. She also spent substantial time releasing all the muscles, including the less obvious ones you wouldn't realize have been worked. As a trainer Marwa instills a lot of confidence, she explains things well which is important as my eyes were closed for many parts of the work we were doing. She's also strong, able to lift my weight during some stretches, as I was confident she had hold of me I was able to relax into the stretch which was important. Overall a really good experience and I've already adopted some of the ideas into my routine.”
